Come edit with me!
I bring over 5+ years of of editorial experience, where I specialize in proofreading, line editing, and copyediting. Whether you’re looking to get some feedback on a packet of poems before sending them out on submission or need some extra eyes on your memoir, my goal as an editor is to bring an attention to detail at the level of the line/sentence while honoring your intended vision for your work. Part of being a good editor means being a good reader; to this end, part of my editorial process and how I give feedback includes asking questions to get you curious about your own writing, to help you consider the things you don’t see.
Beyond freelancing, I’ve served as the Creative Nonfiction Editor for GASHER Journal, an editorial assistant, archival assistant, and memoir reader for Split Lip Magazine, a contest reader for Button Poetry, and I’ve been an Emerging Writer Fellow and reader for SmokeLong Quarterly. Currently, I’m the InteR/e/vews Editor for Split Lip Magazine, where I publish book reviews and author interviews over recently released or forthcoming literary books. I’m also the Micro Editor for The Offing; I publish extremely brief writing (less than 560 characters!) in the form of poems, essays, and fiction.
In 2025, I was recognized as an educator by YoungArts for outstanding youth guidance and mentorship for my work as a summer youth mentor with SUNHOUSE Literary. Writers I’ve edited and published have gone on to be selected for inclusion in respected anthologies such as Best Microfiction. If you’re interested in working with me, feel free to bounce over to my contact page and shoot me a message! We can discuss rates and such as needed, depending on the size of your project and the sort of editorial direction you’re looking for. I look forward to hearing from you!
